The cosy study has many period features and required a relaxed ‘library’ style with plenty of storage for the family’s books and memorabilia. The room doubles as a space to work from home but also as a snug where the owners can relax with a whisky in front of the fire in the evenings. To one wall we created a desk with solid oak top and symmetrical bookcases to either side. The base units contain wide cupboards and drawers and hide essential routers and printers. A full length window seat provides somewhere to settle with views of the garden and full height bookcases are built into the alcove within arms reach. To the far side of the fireplace, false doors lead you though to another hidden room. The cabinetry is all hand-painted in Manor House Grey with nickel handles.
