All five are handmade in West Yorkshire by craftspeople with whom we have worked for over twenty years. They share the same standard of joinery. The choice is about aesthetic, not quality.

Championing Premium Quality
Quality is the foundation of everything Lewis Alderson does. From the first sketch to the final brushstroke, every detail is carefully considered. The studio partners with some of the world's most respected names in hardware, worktops, and appliances, including Sub-Zero & Wolf, Gaggenau, Aga, Everhot, LaCanche, Miele, and Liebherr, so only the finest products complement the handmade furniture.
All furniture is built to order at the specialist workshop using only the finest FSC-certified timber, keeping complete control over quality and ensuring each cabinet, drawer, and door meets exacting standards. Every piece is hand-painted on site using premium, low-VOC paints, chosen for their beautiful finish, their environmental credentials, and their durability.

Lewis Alderson & Co was founded in 2008 by Tom Edmonds, a designer driven by a belief in timeless design, traditional craftsmanship, and a more personal, considered approach to interiors. With over 20 years of experience and a degree in Industrial Design from Brunel University, Tom brings an expert eye and meticulous attention to detail to every project.
Though Lewis Alderson has gained international recognition, the studio remains proudly independent, with Tom still personally leading every design today. There are no salespeople, no set ranges, and no templated solutions, just a creative partnership led by people who genuinely care.
